Progress!
As I told you I golf Thursday mornings in the men's club at Martin County on the Blue/Gold courses. Very hard course for me to get thru a round without taking penalties for hitting the ball out of play (in the woods, water, etc).
The average score of my last 10 outings there is 106 (never broke 100 there). This morning I shot 96. This is not a great score for most people but for me to show a 10 shot improvement first time out after your lesson I think is fantastic. Also no penalties. Struck the irons (6,7,8,9,pw,sw) and ball went directly toward the target on just slightly off. Also hit very good 3 and 5 woods using the same strike theory. Had a bad day putting or I think I may have broke 90.
Just wanted to let you know and say thanks. I'm sure I'll be talking to you again.

Golf!
I wanted to email you to express my appreciation for the incredible amount of time you spent with me in helping me to achieve what I feel to be a breakthrough in the understanding of the game of golf and how to use my clubs correctly to achieve the results I seek. I played in Canmore, Alberta yesterday with clients - it is a Mountain Course with a Ladies Slope rating of 136, so you can imagine I was nervous. I incorporated the new grip, and kept my feet as still as possible with my eye on the ball and attempted to use all the techniques you so patiently taught me :) I shot a 104 which I was really happy with on a new Course with that degree of difficulty (no easy lies!). But most importantly I was in the fairway 90% of the time, my shots felt quite effortless, I was able to carry on a business and casual conversation with my clients and I felt no embarrassment with the way I played. So, I thought I would share with you how much I learned and how pleased I am with the results. You gave me lots to work on and I look forward to doing my homework and breaking 100 consistently this year, and then you can be sure I will be back to see you when I am trying to break 90!
Thanks again Bill, you are a great Instructor and you really helped me tremendously. Good luck in all your future endeavors, whatever they may be.

Instruction
Bill-just wanted to drop a note to say THANK YOU for the great instruction. There has been vast improvement as I have "stuck with" getting my new grip and concept of compressing the ball. On Friday and Saturday I was within 1 stroke of breaking 40 for 9 holes. This is something I didnt think could happen. I had my lowest score of 82. Before I met you, I broke 90 a couple of times. Thanks again,

Hi bill,
Never got a chance to tell you how great of an experience I (we) had with you. My attitude and respect for the game has really changed. I am in miami now and going to play golf tomorrow, hopefully like "gumby" not like the t devil. I purchased Ernest Jones and while reading it I hear your voice in my head. Once again I thank you for a fun and educational experience and hopefully will do it again soon.

Will You Marry Me??!!!
So I played the front nine, kept my driver locked up. Simple golf, drive it 240 to 250, approach shot 5 to 8 iron depending on hole, de-loft the club, swing with good tempo. One screwed up shot when I started thinking too much, but shot 2 over par 38. You know your shit!. We will be spending a lot of time together…I am you new Canadian friend. You fixed my golf game!!!

Lesson
An excellent lesson…played nine holes at Miles Grant, just got home, “swing” shows some promise, nothing to write home about yet, but there are signs of improvement. Thank you! (I am all over Ernest Jones)

Dear Bill
I am back in Boston. But I must tell you that I played twice after the Academy. I played on Wednesday (9 holes) with my nephew (who is a pretty good golfer). And then I played a full round on Friday at a lovely course in Boca Raton. I did not bother to keep score. My focus was on ball striking. I was patient with myself, and was careful with my grip. Bill, I had so much fun!!!. The balls were going straight; I was hitting the sweet spot; and my death zone shots were all respectable (I still have to learn to judge distance, but I was very happy with my results...because as you know, prior to your instruction, if I found myself 50-100 yards out, my first reaction is to say SHIT, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW?????). Your instruction not only taught me new things, but it forced me to change some bad habits.
I am going back to FL in late February for a weekend in Naples.. . I have your wooden block in my living room. I can't thank you enough for giving me your prime teaching tool.. I consider it a sign of your confidence in my game.
I am looking forward to seeing the videos you took.

Bill:
Thanks for the pics. Awesome looking!!!! Now that I don’t slice I should be able to play those old courses. Dave and I really enjoyed our “golf camp”. More importantly, we both feel like we got a lot out of it and are sold on the Balash philosophy! We now call you “3 headed Bill” as it helps us remember to use the whole club as one (3 golf heads….bottom, middle and top near grip). Got home and practiced hitting a board!!! Can’t wait to show off my new non-slice swing!!!! The roof is our friend and we are gonna do our best to stay with it!!!
Next up, gotta read Ernest Jones! Wishing you all the best and thanks a ton for your help.

Golf Lessons
Thank you for sending over that video. The lessons were great! I have been going to the range a few times a week and practicing what we spoke about. I see that you are coming to Jersey and offering lessons. I am certainly interested in that. I just need to confirm my schedule. Also, Allison and I were thinking of coming down to Hobe Sound The week of July 4th. Are you going to be down there or will you be up here? I would love to keep learning from you.

Lesson
I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed the learning experience I had while taking the 2 three hour lessons. I have been going to the driving range trying to produce the practices you taught and relaxing and slowing down the "violence" in my swing. It will take time and will probably follow those concepts up by lessons here this spring/summer. Thanks for your help.

Hello from NJ!
I just wanted to tell you, that I enjoy reading the book about swinging the clubhead. I can hear you saying the words from Ernest Jones and everything he says makes sense to me, because you went through every step with me. I am looking forward to swinging the clubhead, in my home or outside and hopefully soon on a golf course. See you in July in NJ. Thanks again! You are a wonderful teacher.

Thank You!
Thanks so much for taking the extra time with me this morning. I really feel I now have a better understanding of what I have been doing wrong and hopefully with your drills I’ll be able to correct it. Look forward to working with you in the future.
